Jesca Hoop's sophomore album, Hunting My Dress, will be released July 27 in The U.S., and she's made “Feast of the Heart” available to the public for free download. The record comes to the U.S. after her recent move to London from California, but she's still making excellent, quirky pop music. The two songs I've heard from the album so far are heavily percussion based, and “Feast of the Heart” has a slight electronic effect on Hoop's voice to start as she works her way into her typical sing-speak vocals. The sound is haunting, and while I haven't listened to the entire thing, I'm pretty sure I'm in for a much darker second effort from this rising songstress.
